Click image for full-size view Goethe's Faust was written in the early to mid 1800's. Its message is timeless. I have chosen several quotes that are particulary meaningful today and written them on tiles that are mounted in black metal trivet frames. The quotes are in the original German (with an English translation on the back of the tile). Since the quotes are so powerful, I felt that an illustration would distract from the message and chose, instead, to enhance the tiles with abstract color shadings.
